Land Ho! We have land! "It is a good land that the Lord our God is giving us." Deut 1:25b. Halleluiah! Halleluiah! The Lord is providing St. Gabriel's with LAND!

IMG_4133 We were praying for a land on which to build a church in Loudoun County IMG_4134 Diocese put an offer on the Belmont Greene land, offered $625,000 for 5 acres ... IMG_4135 Considered Leesgate, across Potomac Station, ... Goosecreek Village IMG_4136 Considered 4 acre church site in Lansdowne and did not get much interest from the developer ... Those four acres are being sold for $1 million IMG_4138 There were other possible locations, but nothing worked out IMG_4140 All these prices are as about a year ago, in the past year, prices have gotten even more exorbitant IMG_4141 There is a piece of land over by old Fort Evans Road behind CVS over by the Racquet Club backing up to the Leesburg, .. That land just [sold] for 5.2 million dollars! IMG_4142 So, ... what does this mean for our dream to find land on which to build a church in Loudoun County? IMG_4143 Meanwhile, after WWII, Huntington Harris moved to his family farm near Leesburg with his bride Mary. IMG_4146 Mary Harris is with us this morning, along with her son, Henry and Henry's wife Joyce and Sr. Warden, Allison Cornell (right) accompanying IMG_4147 Mary's late husband, Huntington, was a faithful member of our mother church, St. James'. He also helped to build the National Cathedral IMG_4148 The Harris property is right in the middle of our target area IMG_4149 A beautiful forested land at the intersection of Fort Evans and future Battle Field Parkway
